Principle and Working:
Microwave apparatus is used for study of Wave Phenomenon of the radiation produced, because its properties are very similar to those of light.
In the present setup, used for the students to understand and learn the basic concepts of wave phenomenon. Demonstration of wave nature e.g., reflection, refraction, Polarization, Interference and diffraction of the radiation produced, can be done using this kit.
- Transmitter and Receiver horn mounted on heavy Iron base.
- 0-360 degree goniometer scale.
- Distance between Transmitter and Receiver is adjustable.
- 0-12 V DC Gunn Diode power supply.
- Different Accessories to study reflection, refraction, polarization, single slit diffraction and double slit interference.
- To study optical phenomena in microwave optics system.
- To study the reflection in microwave.
- To study the polarization on microwave.
- To study the double slit interference.
- To study the single slit diffraction phenomena.
- Gunn Diode : Range 0-12V, Current 1A max., Regulation Power Supply 0.2% for 10%, Ripple 1mV rms, Modulation freq. 1KHz ± 10%(900-1100Hz), Output Connector and BNC (F) & TNC (F).
- Microwave Tx & Rx : Tx C8029: DC bias Voltage 10Volt max. Connector BNC(F), Waveguide WR-90 Rx C7661: Band X, Range 8.2 -12.4GHz Waveguide WR-90, Crystal diode In23 Connector BNC(F).
- Goniometer Scale : Circular scale 0-360°, Tx Arms 0-50cm, Rx Arms 0-100cm.
- Polarizing Grill : Aluminium, Size 300 x190mm (L x W), Grill 15 nos. , positions parallel, perpendicular & 45°.
