MAGNETIC FIELD ALONG THE AXIS OF A COIL

Principle and Working:
A current-carrying coil produces a magnetic field along its axis, as defined by Biot-Savart’s law.In this setup, the magnetic field along the axis is studied using coils of different dimensions and turns. The field is measured using an axial Hall probe and a digital Gaussmeter. The variation of the magnetic field with distance is analyzed, and the results are compared with theoretical predictions. This experiment helps in understanding the influence of coil parameters on the generated magnetic field.
