Principle and Working:
In polarization of light by half-wave plate setup, the diode laser light is first polarized and then passes through a half-wave plate (λ/2), which rotates the polarization plane without changing intensity. The effect can be analyzed over a -90° to +90° range. The prism’s refractive index (μ) relates to its angle (α) as δ = θ⁻¹(α).
