Principle and Working:
The triangular-section track is made of aluminum with perforations. An inlet cover is provided at one end, which is connected to a hose from an air blower. The gliders move on an air cushion, thereby minimizing friction. The apparatus is used to perform experiments that investigate the laws of motion, speed, acceleration, and momentum. A digital timer with two photogates, along with various accessories, is used to conduct all experiments.
