Projectile Motion Experiment
Item Code : SK088
Principle and Working:
Projectile motion is used to experimentally determine the trajectory of a projectile launched either horizontally or at an angle. Angles between 0° and 90° can be selected. By varying the tension in the spring, different launch velocities can also be achieved. In this setup, the horizontal range and maximum height of the projectile can be measured using a marked surface. By analyzing the time of flight and displacement, students can verify the theoretical equations of motion under gravity. This experiment helps in understanding the effect of initial velocity, launch angle, and gravitational acceleration on the path of a projectile.
