It is made of borosilicate glass with side tube. A non volatile liquid is filled in the tube just above the side limb. Using drilled cork, capillary with sample and thermometer are mounted in the tube. Heated liquid circulates and increases the temperature of the sample when the bend of the side limb is heated.
