This apparatus is used to determine specific heat of liquid by Newton’s law of cooling. It consists of two aluminium calorimeters (75x50mm) resting inside a metal trough which stands in an outer metal tank fitted with a wooden top with two rubber stoppers with holes for thermometers. The inner container is lined with felt.
